These Mechanic & Service Provider Terms (“Mechanic Terms”) apply to all mechanics, technicians, mobile mechanics, contractors, and automotive service providers using Ramplink.
By using Ramplink, you agree to these Terms in addition to the Platform Terms & Conditions.
1. INDEPENDENT STATUS
Mechanics and service providers operate entirely independently.
Nothing within Ramplink creates:
- employment;
- partnership;
- agency;
- subcontracting;
- or worker relationships between Ramplink and users.
Mechanics are solely responsible for:
- their conduct;
- services provided;
- workmanship;
- legal compliance;
- and taxes.
2. MECHANIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Mechanics agree to:
- behave professionally;
- operate safely;
- comply with workshop rules;
- use equipment correctly;
- maintain appropriate qualifications where required;
- maintain suitable insurance coverage;
- avoid reckless or negligent conduct.
Mechanics must immediately report:
- equipment faults;
- unsafe conditions;
- accidents;
- property damage.
3. DAMAGE TO WORKSHOPS, TOOLS OR VEHICLES
Mechanics accept full responsibility for any damage caused by:
- negligence;
- misuse of equipment;
- reckless behaviour;
- unauthorised use of tools or facilities.
Ramplink shall not be liable for:
- workshop damage;
- ramp damage;
- tool damage;
- vehicle damage;
- injuries;
- or disputes relating to mechanic conduct.
Mechanics may be held directly liable by workshop owners or customers for losses caused.
4. INSURANCE
Mechanics are solely responsible for maintaining appropriate insurance including where applicable:
- public liability insurance;
- motor trade insurance;
- road risks insurance;
- tool insurance.
Ramplink does not provide insurance coverage for users.
5. PAYMENTS & FEES
Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers including Stripe.
Mechanics acknowledge:
- Stripe processing fees may apply;
- payment processor fees are non-refundable;
- Ramplink may deduct platform fees where applicable.
Ramplink may:
- withhold payouts;
- suspend transactions;
- investigate disputes or fraud.
6. CONDUCT
Mechanics must not:
- misuse workshop facilities;
- use unauthorised equipment;
- perform illegal activity;
- harass users;
- damage property;
- provide false qualifications or insurance information.
Ramplink reserves the right to remove users immediately where misconduct or safety concerns arise.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ramplink shall not be liable for:
- lost income;
- disputes;
- injuries;
- workshop access issues;
- equipment failure;
- customer claims;
- or losses arising from use of the Platform.
Use of Ramplink is entirely at the mechanic’s own risk.
8. INDEMNITY
Mechanics agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ramplink against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or legal costs arising from:
- mechanic conduct;
- property damage;
- injuries;
- negligence;
- breaches of law;
- or breaches of these Terms.
